What is Home Inspection? My name is Gordon Jones, owner of G I JONES HOME INSPECTION. I am a licensed Professional Real Estate Inspector with the state of Texas. The licensing agency is the Texas Real Estate Commission and my license number is 23299. I am a member of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors. Feel free to check on my license status by clicking here or my InterNACHI status by clicking here. A home inspection is a service I provide that examines the systems and components of a house or structure to provide information to the client on its status. In other words I tell people if the house is safe and in working order. |
I am a veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan. I served in the Marine Corps Infantry, as a rifleman. In the Marines we are taught to ensure our safety in a variety of different environments. As a home inspector safety is my number one concern, my safety and the safety of the home I am inspecting. I want you to feel safe and secure in your future house and will do that to the best of my ability. Another thing I learned in the Marine Corps was how to inspect. Marines inspect everything: uniforms, rifles, barracks rooms, vehicles, you name it we had an inspection for it. And of course if it was going to be inspected by a higher up, everyone in between you and them had to inspect it first.

I grew up in an Air Force family. Both of my parents are retired Air Force, and I was born on Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas. I spent most of my youth in Hawaii, but still managed to live all over the country. I have lived in just about every imaginable type of dwelling. From Humvees and mud huts overseas to high rise apartments in Hawaii; and everything in between. I think the only thing I haven't lived in is a tree house.
